Introduction to French Beaded Flowers – spring blossoms kit

Have you always wanted to learn French beading but you are intimidated with where to start? I’ve put together this kit for the most timid beginner for making seed bead and wire flowers.

This project is the first Technique Project in my book “Bead Flora: the revival of French beaded flowers.”

What you’ll get in this kit:

• All materials to make the flowers shown in the photo
• Step-by-Step instructions with photo

Materials (in this kit)

• 15 grams 11/0 petal-color seed beads (3 grams of 5 shades)
• 12 grams 11/0 green seed beads
•  26-gauge pink copper-core wire
•  26-gauge green copper-core wire
•  Green Floral tape

*Note: I’ve switched to using 26 gauge wire instead of 24 gauge as in the original pattern shown in the video because it’s easier for beginners.

Colorway choices:

Pink colorway

Yellow Orange colorway

Tools needed (not in kit):

•  Wire Cutters
•  Chain nose pliers
•  Bead spinner (optional but recommended)

Techniques covered:

•  Continuous Loops
• Continuous Wrap-around loops
•  Basic Frame
