We will use approx. 40 to 55 grams of main color seed beads. The brands of beads you use could
vary slightly on the amount of beads you need but it wouldn’t affect it too much. What will affect it
is you wrap loosely or tightly. If you bead loosely, you will use up more beads and wire.

Wires

Petals – Use 24 gauge in the main color for the petals. Do not sub with other gauges.
Sepals – 24 gauge green wire. In a pinch, you can use 26 gauge wire.
Leaves – It’s best to use 22 gauge wire especially for the outer leaves . Having the heavier gauge wire
will help keep the leaves stay up. If you don’t have 22 gauge wire, it’s possible to use 24 gauge
wire and then reinforce the twisted wires.
