  • Color A seed beads – 15/0 Miyuki Fuchsia Pearl Luster (RR352)
  • Color B seed beads – 15/0 Miyuki Smoky Amethyst (RR294) or Purple lined Amethyst (RR356)
  •  Color C seed beads – 15/0 Miyuki Purple Lined Luster Aqua (RR1827)

Wire

Petals: Using 26 gauge wire is the best for making the petals. Though, you can work with 24 gauge wire but it may not be as easy to wrap or shape with smaller size 15/0 beads but it’s do-able.

Tendrils/Calyx: We are using 30 gauge wire for the tendrils and calyx because the wire need to go through the size 15/0beads twice. I do not recommend substituting with another gauge wire.

Leaflets: It’s best to use 26 gauge wire for the leaflets to make the loops. But in a pinch, 28 gauge wire can be used but it won’t feel as sturdy.

Leaves: Since we’re using 11/0 beads, it’s best to use 24 gauge wire. You can get away with using 26 gauge wire for Leaves A. But for Leaves B, C & D, it’s definitely recommended to use 24 gauge wire. Though for Leaves D, using 22 gauge wire might be a good idea if you have any lying around.

Converting size 15s to 11s

The units calling for size 15 seed beads are best if they are made in size 15s. However, I do understand that not everyone has access to 15s. So for those who’d like to convert to size 11s, I’ve included conversions to size 11s on page 13 and 14. But bear in mind that the larger bead flowers and tendrils will look a lot bulkier.
