French beaded flower: Winter Rose Poinsettia pattern
Just how many French beaded flowers will I design from the Home Deport floral section? LOL… I discovered this winter rose poinsettia at Home Depot last year and quickly worked it up. It’s a doozy of a pattern using many combination of French beading techniques including the one that I developed called the Continuous Split Basic (link to free pdf and video demo).
It was too late to get the pattern out last year but I finally got the pattern written and available for sale. The flower measures approximately 5 inches in diameter and about 9 inches in height. If you already know the French beading techniques, you can quickly make this French beaded winter rose poinsettia in a few days if you are determined. The pattern uses simple beads. I used transparent red and transparent green beads.
And because I accidentally mixed some light green beads up with dark green beads as I was making the leaves, some of them have a two-toned effect and I like it.
