Last week, I did a flower challenge where I did a flower study and then beaded it on the spot. Today, I will show you more behind the scenes with how I like to find flowers to study. While my husband and older children were out on an all day bike trip, the toddler (3 at the time of recording…he’s now 4 years old) and I went to look at flowers and to study.
Normally I don’t bring my camera but decided to bring it so I can get better pictures and study in the field. Oftentimes, I will bring home wild flowers (what people think are weeds) but if they’re planted by the park, then that’s harder to do. I did find some zinnia petals on the ground so I could trace a petal. My kiddo was gathering petals for me.
