My first teaching gig at the Bead & Button show 2019 is over and what an amazing time it was! I taught three classes from projects that are in my book.
One of my beading idols, Carol Benner, author of the book “The Art of French beaded flowers“, dropped by my table on Meet the Teachers night. She bought a copy of my book and some finished pieces. What a dream come true!
Many beaders who were not able to take my classes due to schedule conflicts purchased kits instead. French beaded flowers have always been an under-represented art-form in the bead world. I’m so proud to be the designer that is laying the groundwork for the come-back of French beaded flowers at the Bead & Button show.
I made a lot of mistakes as far as choosing projects for the correct time slots. I will be tweaking some patterns so that they are better suited for class.
I’m a little sad that it’s over. It was even more amazing than I ever expected. I can’t wait for next year!
I debuted my French beaded pink magnolia pattern at Meet the Teachers night. I gave the attendees an exclusive B&B deal on this pattern. I also sent an email to my newsletter followers the same offer. I’m still editing the video course for this pattern. Until that is done, I will not make it available on my website yet. However, my newsletter followers are able to get an exclusive pre-sale. Some of you already have the pdf download. So sign up for my newsletter! I will send out another email before the sale ends on June 30, 2019.
Below are the jewelry that I wore. I was asked over and over if I had patterns for these available. I do not.
The first necklace was published around 8 or 9 years ago in a magazine that is no longer in publication. The last two are necklaces that was going to be in my first book but I held back because I was thinking that I may just do a second book on just jewelry. What do you think, beady friends? Should I do a jewelry/accessories book or have jewelry projects nestled in with regular flower projects?
Cheers,
I have purchased your pink magnolia pattern & the Carol Benner book.
I would like to see you include jewelry among your flower patterns. Also, I would like you to include, among your patterns, some little winged creatures, such as: butterflies, humming birds, etc.
Thank you,
Hi Kathleen, Thanks for purchasing the pink magnolia pattern!
I have simple jewelry in my book and I have some butterflies on my youtube channel. I do need to make a pdf for that though! 🙂
