Techniques: Continuous Wrap-around loops
As I’m developing new patterns, I focus on cutting down the bulk of wires especially if I’m making hair accessories. This French beaded butterfly was born out of this to make a light weight butterfly that will be easily attached to a hair clip and not weigh your whole head down as you’re wearing it. This uses the continuous wrap-around technique and is made with one wire instead of 4 or 5 wires.
Materials/Tools
- 11/0 seed beads – 7 grams primary color
- 11/0 seed beads – 7 grams secondary color
- 8 mm pearls – 2
- 48 inches 24 or 22 gauge copper core wire
- 6 inches 30 or 28 gauge copper core wire
